On-location Lectures
Support to promote understanding of thyroid examinations
Radiation Medical Science Center for the Fukushima Health Management Survey offers on-location lectures at schools. Using programs and materials tailored to the age groups of the participants, we explain about ultrasonography; thyroid cysts, nodules, and cancer; the purpose of thyroid examinations; and the advantages and disadvantages of receiving thyroid examinations. We also provide support so that they can make their own decisions about whether to have an examination and how to understand examination results.
Upon request, we also provide on-site information sessions for parents and guardians.
