WHO Radiation and Health Unit, Lead Technical Officer, Dr. Zhanat Carr visited our center

Dr. Zhanat Carr has been serving as a Medical Officer at WHO Radiation and Health Unit, and as REMPAN (Radiation Emergency Medical Preparedness and Assistance Network) Lead Technical Officer visited FMU Radiation Medical Science Center on November 6, 2023.
As FMU is designated WHO collaborating center to support WHO’s global program, Dr. Carr and FMU faculties have been collaborating in the field of Radiation Emergency after the 3.11 Disaster.
At the facility and office visit, our faculty members (medical doctors, clinical engineers, clinical psychologists, public health nurses) explained about outcomes and support system of the Fukushima Health Management Survey.
Dr. Carr said that she impressed attentive and participants-oriented support activities.
After the Center tour, we actively exchanged opinions including recent world affairs and the importance of preparedness.
