A busy booth at the Iki Iki Kenko Zukuri (Live with Vitality) Forum in Tamura City

Iki Iki Kenko Zukuri Forum, organized by Fukushima Medical University’s Health Promotion Center, combines education and entertainment for local residents to encourage steps in the direction of better health. The November 13, 2022 event at Tamura City’s General Gymnasium included a booth created and staffed by the Radiation Medical Science Center for the Fukushima Health Management Survey. Our booth included panels to introduce the Fukushima Health Management Survey’s latest findings, along with tips to prevent lifestyle-related diseases. We also offered a simple test to check muscle strength and lower limb balance. A replica of human fat was included in the whole display, all of which was intended to help booth visitors think about how to maintain or enhance their health. By the end of the event, we had received 231 visitors.
